Then at some point, someone decided to create a story where the reader could also interact with it and have some control on its ending. VNs are, on its basics, the digital version of books. Have you ever seen anyone buying a painting not fully finsihed? Only half painted and blank on the other half? Have you ever seen someone going on book store to buy a book that have been only half written? Have you ever seen someone going on Beatport to buy half of a song? Have you ever been in any art exhibition? Any art galery? If the answer is yes, tell me. etc.Īnd you really should be proud of what you accomplished with this game.Ĭlick to expand.I have a question for you And the hours spend coding, writing, planning. So, I can imagine, having a computer render 24/7 capping out the GPU the entire time, this will be costly.Īnd this is only in electricity. Which for me is around 50USD pre-tax additional vs months I don't game at all. (granted this is obviously not only my GPU's fault, add CPU, drives, what not) Months I'll actively play games, around 80 hours worth, it's an additional 350-450Kwh to my power bill. I don't either, but I can somewhat see where things take a turn.Īs in an example, I have on and off periods playing games that actually utilize my GFX-card. Many don't realize the cost of making these games. But sorry it didn't work out for you.)Īs many have mentioned, I'll have to agree that it's a shame that the game don't fully conclude properly, it may be a bit "rushed".īut you had to do something. I'm sad to see that it didn't work out in the end, but after all, as seen time after time, it's all a gamble for any dev.Įither it works, or it doesn't. the last one was really rushed and not good at all.Ĭlick to expand.Just want to thank you for the work you've done! And i have to say, the game displayed this too in the later updates. if the inital thought is to earn a specific amount of money, than its the complete wrong motivation. In my opinion to develop a game like this starts as a hobby. most Hobbies in the world are expensive and not for earning money. But iam very disappointed to see antohter good game going down cause the DEVs want to much out of it. At least they closed the patreon site and didnt think about milking the people a little with some pointless renders here and there like other devs do. Shame, could have been a great game, it is a great game, but without an statisfying ending. There will be no part 2, and that was obvious. So yeah, i saw it coming that this game will be abondoned. To pause a project and cry out for more support to continue, doesnt work. Its just not complete, thats all.Īnd than the DEVs told us that they will continue when the support is big enough. and even to say part 1 is "complete" is too much, it doesnt feel complete at all, not even close complete. So its been a while since i checked the project, the not at all completed game earning a complete tag here annoyed me.
